Points to note when installing split bearings

The split bearing unit includes cylindrical roller bearings, bearing housings, bracket housings and some connecting parts. Bearings, bearing seats and bracket seats are 180° apart in the axial direction, which is easy to install and remove. It is precisely due to the installation and disassembly of the split bearing that it can effectively save disassembly time, reduce production costs and improve production efficiency. However, some points need to be paid attention to when installing split bearings.


Point 1. Installation of bearing housing: When installing split bearing, bearing housing and bearing cover, the back of bearing bush should be in close contact with the hole of bearing box. If the platform requirements are not met, the housing bore should be used as a reference. The back of the bearing bushing should be scraped, and the crack surface of the bearing should be 0.05-0.1mm higher than the crack surface of the bearing seat.


Point 2. The contact area between the rear part of the bearing and the bearing seat: the upper brick is not less than 40, and the lower brick is not less than 50. It is required that the contact area is uniform and there is no gap between the two pieces. The bottom and sides of the lower tiles. When bearing bush is subjected to high pressure, it will cause rapid wear. The contact point between the bearing pad and the bearing seat should be 1 to 2 points/cm2. Too little will cause the bearing pad to increase wear, deformation and cracking.


Point 3. Installation of bearing and journal: When installing the bearing, attention must be paid to the contact angle and contact point between the bush and the journal. The center angle corresponding to the contact surface between the bearing pad and the journal is called the contact angle. If the angle is too large, it will affect the formation of lubricating oil film, destroy the lubrication effect, and cause the bearing pad to wear quickly.


Point 4. Please pay attention to the adjustment of bearing clearance during installation. It is usually controlled at 1/1000-3/1000 of the shaft diameter, which can be optimized according to equipment load, speed and oil viscosity.


The structure of the split bearing is very special, and it is also widely used. The most important thing is that it is easy to install, so it can replace the use of traditional bearings and is easier to detect than conventional bearings.
